Terms and Conditions
Driver’s Age: For all categories minimum age is 23 years.
Driving License: For categories A,B,C,BA,CA,BD,CD 1 year, for the rest categories 2 years. For non EU driving license holders international driving license is required.
Method of payment: A valid credit/debit card is obligatory in order to cover the security deposit and the rental amount. . Accepted cards are Visa, MasterCard, Diners Club
Minimum Rental Period: 24 hours. After 25 hours the cost of an extra day is charged.
Fines: The renter is liable for all traffic fines that occur during the car rental.
Insurance: All authorized drivers of Filorent vehicles are covered with Liability Insurance against third party injury and property. Coverages are subject to General Terms of the Filorent’s insurance contract with its Insurer.
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW): Included in the rental. Under the condition that the Greek Traffic Law is not violated, the driver’s liability is maximum 750€ for categories A,B1,C,C1,CA,K 1000€ for categories D,DA,W1,S2 και 1500€ for all other categories. Tires and underparts are not covered by the insurance.
Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW): The renter may reduce his liability at the minimum amount of 300€ for categories A,B1,C,C1,CA,K at the extra cost of 10€ per day, 500€ for categories D,DA,W1,S2 at the cost of 15€ per day, and 800€ for all other categories, at the extra cost of 20€ per day. Tires and underparts are not covered by the insurance.
Full Insurance (FDW): the renter can limit their liability to 0€ at the extra cost of 20€ per day for categories A,B1,C,C1,CA,K, 30€ per day for categories D,DA,W1,S2 and to 200€ at the extra cost of 40€ per day for all other categories. Tires and underparts are not covered by the insurance.
Driver's insurance 19-22 years old: Cost 10€ per day. Only after agreement with the company, and only on reservations made at least 3 working days before the start of the rental. Prerequisite is that the driver has a valid driving license for at least 12 months and is only valid for categories A,B1,C,C1,CA,K. Applies only to CDW insurance and cannot be combined with other additional insurances.
Theft Protection (TP): Included in the rental. The renter's liability for theft of the rented car is limited to 750€ for categories A,B1,C,C1,CA,K 1000€ for categories D,DA,W1,S2 and 1500€ for the other categories. Return of the car key is obligatory. Insurance does not cover theft of car components. Does not apply in case of driver’s negligence.
Personal Accident Insurance (PAI): Optional. Covers the driver at the daily cost of 5,00€.
Additional Driver (AD): Daily charge 5,00€ for each additional driver.
Child seats: Available on request and only after a reservation, with a daily charge of 5,00€.
GPS: Available on request and only after a reservation with a daily charge of 10,00€.
Snow Chains: Available on request and only after a reservation with a daily charge of 10,00€. (
Delivery/Collection: Outside our offices and within city limits 15,00€. After hours charge 25,00€.
Key loss/destruction: Renter will be required to pay the cost of replacing the key based on the manufacturer's current price list.
Car cabin: In case the vehicle is returned with stains in its cabin which require a special cleaning procedure, the renter shall be charged with the amount of 80,00€
Ferrying the car: It is only allowed after written acceptance by the company. In case of damage while on an island the renter shall be charged with all the transportation expenses of returning the vehicle back to our office.
Across the border rental: Forbidden
V.A.T.: 24%
All above mentioned amounts include VAT
The Athens Courts of Law are responsible for resolving any problems or doubts of service that might occur.
